Costa Coffee Club UAE Membership Terms & Conditions
Only users of COSTA COFFEE CLUB UAE App shall be eligible to join the Costa Coffee Club UAE “Program”. Such eligibility criteria may be subject to change at any time.
1. ACCEPTANCE AND DISCLOSURE
The terms and conditions set out herein, shall govern the Company’s relationship with members of the Program including but not limited to the membership, expiration, redeeming and earning Program points (Beans).
By using your Membership Account you agree that;
- You have read and accept these terms and conditions set
- You consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data by the Company, the Program, and the Company’s affiliates to any third party for any purpose related to the Program or the company’s business.
2. BECOMING A MEMBER
You will become a member to the Program by successful downloading and registering on the App.
Membership can only be registered in the name of an individual and only one Membership may be registered in the name of each individual.
Membership enables you to earn points (“Beans”) and to redeem those beans on all Barista made beverage purchases in participating Costa outlets in the UAE.
3. USING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
You can use the App at any participating Costa outlet in the UAE.
Your use of the App is subject at all times to the End User License Agreement for the App, which is available here.
4. EARNING AND REDEEMING BEANS
Beans can only be earned at the time of purchase and only if the Barcode on your app is scanned at the point of purchase.
You will earn ten Beans for each whole UAE Dirham spent at the time of purchase in a Costa Coffee store. There are no fractional Bean earnings, and any amount spent under a Dirham shall not earn any Beans or partial Beans. There is no fractional Bean earnings, the Beans earned are always rounded down integer numbers. For example, if you spend 20.75 AED, you will earn 200 Beans instead of 200.75 Beans. There is no part Bean.
Once you have earned 2,000 points or more you are then eligible to redeem against a barista made beverage only.
Beans cannot be earned when purchasing gift cards, making purchases through online delivery services or ecommerce websites.
You can check the Beans balance of your Membership by checking the App.
You will be granted one thousand (1,000) Beans upon successful downloading and complete registration on the App;
Beans have no cash value. Redeemed Beans cannot be used again. Beans can only be earned, held and redeemed as set out in this Agreement. Any Beans obtained or used other than in accordance with this Agreement will be invalid and cannot be redeemed.
Beans are personal to the individual Member and cannot be pooled with Beans earned by another Member and redeemed together. You cannot transfer any stored Beans to any other person or Member.
In order to redeem Beans, you must scan the Barcode at the point of purchase using the App and state that you would like to redeem your Beans.
You may only redeem Beans against purchases made in participating Costa outlets in UAE. You must have sufficient Beans to pay in full for a purchase if you wish to redeem Beans. You may not make part payment for a purchase using redeemed Beans. Beans can only be redeemed against whole beverages eg: You need 2000 to redeem a beverage. If you have 1000 beans you cannot redeem against half the beverage price. However if your bill has several items and you have sufficient beans to redeem against one of those items then you may part pay with beans and cash/card.
Beans can only be redeemed against Barista made beverages.
Reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that the information contained in the App is accurate. We are not responsible, and shall not be held responsible, for any errors, inaccuracies or omissions appearing therein.
5. NO TRANSFER
The App will replace the existing paper stamp card loyalty program which will be no longer available to use in stores from March 1st 2021 There will be no transfer of any stamps accrued under the stamp based loyalty program into the Costa Coffee Club UAE App . Any benefits accrued from the stamp based loyalty program must be redeemed before 28th February otherwise they become null and void as of 1st March 2021.
6. EXPIRY AND CANCELLATION
Your Membership does not have an expiry date. However, your Beans are only valid so long as you have used the App to earn and/or redeem Beans in the past 12 months. If your Membership has not been used in this way for 12 consecutive months from the date the beans were issued we reserve the right to remove Beans from the balance on your App (as applicable).
Expired Beans cannot be transferred to a new account or redeemed or reinstated.
You may delete the App at any time. If you wish to cancel your Membership altogether, please contact Customer Services on email@example.com. If you cancel your Membership, you will lose the right to redeem all beans that are unused at the time of cancellation.
We may, on notifying you, forfeit all accrued Points, and/or suspend your right to collect and/or redeem Points if you are in breach of this Agreement, if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that you are engaged in fraudulent or other criminal activities relating to us, or the App, or if you supply false or misleading information to us.
7. CHANGES TO YOUR DETAILS
If you need to change any of the details you provided when you registered, please either:
(i) update your details through the App; or
(ii) contact Customer Services by e-mail at on firstname.lastname@example.org.
LOSS, THEFT, DAMAGE
Your Beans are your responsibility and you should treat your Beans like cash in a wallet. If someone else accesses your Membership through the App or website, you may lose any Beans you have earned in the same way as if you lost your wallet.
You should immediately report any unauthorised use of your Membership to Customer Services on email on email@example.com.
If someone makes unauthorised use of your Membership we may, at our sole discretion re-credit any beans redeemed without your consent. Circumstances in which we may determine, in our sole discretion, that we will not re-credit beans include where we reasonably believe that the notified incident has been caused by your breach of this Agreement or if there are reasonable grounds for suspecting that you are or have been engaged in fraudulent or other unlawful conduct in relation to your Membership.
8. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Complaints regarding any element of your Membership should be sent in writing or by email on firstname.lastname@example.org. All complaints will be subject to the Costa Complaints Procedure which will be provided to you on your request.
Beans earned through using your Membership are not covered by any compensation scheme.

While registering to become a Member through the App, you will be asked to provide

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The App and all of its content including but not limited to all text, graphics and html codes, all product names, trade names, service names, domain names, tag lines, or logotype
distinguished in form, text, or otherwise from surrounding text are copyright materials that owned by or licensed to ELR and may not be printed, copied, posted, reproduced, used (including photos of faces) or otherwise distributed in whole or in part, without ELR prior written approval.
13. LIABILITY OF ELR
ELR shall not be held liable for any default resulting directly or indirectly from any cause beyond our control, including but not limited to, failure of network services and failure of data processing systems.
We reserve the right to amend or waive any provision of this Agreement from time to time and at any time, or to terminate the Costa Coffee Club UAE App (and therefore your Membership) on reasonable notice. You should check this page of the Website from time to
time to take note of any changes we make, as they are binding on you from the date that we make them.
We have the right and power to assign or transfer the benefit of this Agreement to any other company or party at any time.
16. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement and any disputes or claims arising out of, or in connection with, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of the United Arab Emirates.
